PPS Slovenia is a guided cross-country skiing tour across the plateaus of Slovenia,
woven through infinite forests and picturesque medium height mountains of 800
to 1600 metres above sea level. In seven days we will cross different parts of Slovenia,
from Pohorje in the East, Snežnik in the South, to Pokljuka in the West. The total
length of the trip is 330 km, or an average of 47 km per day. Important is to enjoy
in your own pace. A ski trail for the classic technique will be ready and marked. Some refreshment
stations will be set up on the way, but it is recommended that participants take
a small backpack with them for drinks, basic provisions and spare clothing. As
almost every stage has some steeper uphill and downhill sections, the trip is not
recommended for beginners.
We will spend the nights in hotels, mountain huts and boarding houses, where
meals will also be provided. Each day bus transportation will be organised between
the lodging and the start of the next section.
